What you consider as the most land (or country) of metal?

Please explain why the country you name should be in the first places.

I must apply Finland (But overally I love all scandinavian metal) to the No:1, because the numbers speak truth, Finland is one of the biggest base's of metal listeners. (that mostly comes from that normal people listen to metal and rock, not for Techno or Pop.)

Sweden as No:2, because they are in same line than finland mostly. Both (Sweden and Finland) have just the problem they both have too much unexamined metal bands that only Finnish or Swedish people may know.

and Japan as No:3, because they make so good Melodic death metal like Blood Stain Child, lost Eden and other little more unique bands.

Its hard to say now days, if it was 30 years ago then it definitely would be Britannia. I have to agree with you, it probably would be in the Scandinavian area.

Norway would defo be on top for me, bands like mayhem and being the birthplace of the black metal people really classify as black metal (yeah, i know venom wasn't Norwegian, but then again it didn't have the metal sound as mayhem / Satyricon / Immortal etc).

But yeah, Sweden and Finland aswell.
Scandinavia sums it up quite good!

Well i have to say that i'd also say No 1: Finland, No 2: Sweden and No 3: Probably Norway.

Even though I've never been there i've heard some sick stories about metalheads in scandinavia. I think the best proof that scandinavia rules metal is that a huge number of famous metal bands are Scandinavian (considering the pretty low number of citizens).
I mean just take Göteborg...or whole sweden...they rule like melodic death metal, modern metal and even power metal (and more). And finland probably got nearly whole Pagan Metal scene. And of course Norway Black Metal...

But i've heard that Metal is getting pretty popular in the United States...but i've never been there as well.
