Probably one of my favorite heavy metal bands, Megadeth.

In 1983, Dave Mustaine was fired from the band Metallica for using drugs, alcohol and having arguments with the other Metallica members.
2 Months later, he and the bassist Dave Ellefson formed Megadeth.
=====
From Wikipedia:
Mustaine later said, "After getting fired from Metallica, all I remember is that I wanted blood. Theirs. I wanted to be faster and heavier than them."
=====

They have brought out 12 albums:

Killing Is My Business... and Business Is Good! (1985)
Peace Sells... but Who's Buying? (1986)
So Far, So Good... So What! (1988)
Rust in Peace (1990)
Countdown to Extinction (1992)
Youthanasia (1994)
Cryptic Writings (1997)
Risk (1999)
The World Needs a Hero (2001)
The System Has Failed (2004)
United Abominations (2007)
Endgame (2009)

They sold over 25 million albums worldwide, making Megadeth the 2nd most successful heavy metal band in the world.

This is one of my favorite songs:
