Ashes to Ember are from Germany and they play Melodic Death Metal at it's best. They are very unknown.... Well...it's pretty "modern" so the old guys and traditional metal lovers won't dig it. Check it out:
Btw. I am trying to keep the balance with the supported bands on Metalnewcomers.com regarding the Subgenres. It would be pretty boring to just support some genres. Therefore a "modern" Band would pretty much fit...
What do you think? Dou you like'em?

I'm a traditional metal lover and I still like it It's very good. I like their rythme and guitar stuff. My grotesque; It starts 'quiet' and kinda blooms open. I like that. I especially like their lyrics and vocals! The vocals are so.. Gosh.. AWESOME!
Thanks for adding this band Admin

Wow! Awesome. I think I like Angel of Devastation just a bit better. I will be checking out more of these guys! I think that like the second vid said in it's intro, they are probably more metalcore than melodic black metal though.

I think you ment melodic death metal not melodic black Well yeah...it's pretty hard with this modern metal stuff. The vocals are very metalcore like but the riffing sounds at some party very like the good old göteborg melodic death metal. But I think most of the listeners would call them metalcore, so 'aight!
@TNTee Thanks pal! Well I'm asking myself if I should contact them and offer them to be supported...i first wanted to check what you guys think of them but it seems as you dig it so...yeah...i'll probably ask them soon. But first within the next 10 days a new supported band is going to be announced :-) And it's not ashes to ember

Yeah sorry about that. And also sorry about splitting hairs about the genres, I find many of the genres a bit subjective. Especially when you see a genre like metalcore morph from DRI COC SOD and many other acronym bands into Avenge Sevenfold. Which sounds nothing like the previous acronym bands! It's funny someone was just talking about Sam Dunns Metal: a Headbangers Journey and his poor subgenres chart. They commented about the the fact there was no such thing as Pop Metal. All I could do was think to myself "You weren't around in the late 80's were you?". Terrible American bands such as Bon Jovi, Warrant, Poison, Danger Danger were at the time considered metal!!! Except of course by people who actually liked metal. Anyway genres are difficult and very subjective. Bottom line is this band is very good.

Yeah your damn right! I really don't like the never ending genre discussion...... And you are very right, the whole thing is very subjective. But it's nice that you guys are open for modern stuff.

I like it. 8/10. Nice melody. This band definitely has potential. I may have a look at their other songs. These guys are worth contacting.
