Nightwish

One of the best / prettiest symphonic metal you can get, that is before Anette Olzon joined.

Tarja Turunen was the heart of the band, I miss her, here is one of her best songs, one of my Nightwish fav's :

I like the band with Anette too, she's not as Good as Tarja but yeah, It's still nightwish.
My favorite songs are Sahara/Ghost love score.

Nightwish was the first metalband I've ever heard (well that's not true, 'cause my brothers (2) are metalheads too and yeah.Our walls between the rooms aren't that thick)

Fyi ; I went to Macy yesterday to watch the DVD of end of an era and it was Amaziiiiing <3

I got Dark Passion Play album here, it's good (else i'd not buy it) but Tarja is in my opinion what Nightwish was Nightwish

Well yeah, i have to admit I also do have Dark passion play album here, but yeah, i do really prefer Tarja-Nightwish !
First of all i thought that anette was pretty good, but once i heard them live i was shocked how many notes she missed...it really was horrible :-S...

Yeah of course...nothing against missing notes...that's completely human...
But if it's all the time...during the whole concert...it's just...yeah...
i do like anette anyway

My favourite song is Slaying The Dreamer.
I've seen Nightwish live twice, both times with Anette.
The first song I've heard of them was Amaranth, so I have never known them when Tarja was still in the band.
I think Tarja's voice suites the band better than Anette's.
In my opinion Anette's doing a really good job, though she sounds better on album than live.
Tuomas is a genius! The lyrics he writes are awesome! They're really deep.
And I think Emppu's a great guitarist!

Conclusion : Nightwish is one of my favourite bands, I can listen to them all day.
I don't like that entire pro Tarja , anti Anette thing that you sometimes see on the internet.
You can hardly compare them, cause they're so different.

I'm looking forward to their new work! Keep rocking NW!!!

Aye, it's true. Nightwish is a whole different Nightwish with Anette.
In my opinion.. Anette is more destined for the newer metal generation.
I don't see a 13 year old person who is new to metal listening to Tarja Turunen. They don't have the ear for metal for it.
As where Anette Olzon has more pep and less of a (beautiful) opera voice then Tarja.
I like them both, else I wouldn't have their albums but I prefer Tarja

And I have to agree with you Macy, Tuomas is great.

Yeah , you're right!
Something about Anette missing notes : I think it's going to be better when they will release the new album. They'll be able to perform more songs that actually suit Anette.
Ofcourse they also need to satisfy the audience with some older songs, they just can't ignore that.
